Summary
4C-D (Ariadne) is a rare psychedelic phenethylamine first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin in 1968. It was developed by Bristol Laboratories and reached phase 3 clinical trials as an antidepressant and motivational enhancer before being discontinued for economic reasons. Unlike typical psychedelics, 4C-D produces minimal hallucinogenic effects even at high doses, instead causing mental alertness, mood enhancement, and mild stimulation.

Acute tolerance: develops within a single session โ the reset numbers above apply after sustained heavy use, not after one binge. Within-session tachyphylaxis usually resets largely overnight.
Pattern assumed similar to other serotonergic psychedelics: rapid short-term tolerance that decays over ~1โ2 weeks. Evidence quality is low and based on analogy plus limited user reports.

4C-D ("ARIADNE"), Trial #2 "Appreciation of the Ordinary" 4-19-2019 by Xorkoth โ 3:00pm (T+0:00) - Ingested 35mg of 4C-D HCl. This is my second trial. My first trial was at 50mg + a 25mg booster an hour in.
4C-D/ARIADNE, 1st trial, 4-8-2019 โ Recently it became possible to acquire two compounds that had previously only been known as entries in PIHKAL. I wouldn't post this report (really just some notes,) except there's so little info out there I thought it might be worth it. There are just WAY too many variables to get much useful info out of this experience. So, three days after a weird 5-MeO-MiPT experience, I tried this for the first time.
Got my hands on the substance and, having nothing to do today, I decided to give her a go. 9:13 a.m. (0:00)- Feeling great today, woke up right before 6, had a donut stick and a cup of coffee, had nothing to eat for more than 12 hours prior to this.
