Summary
N,N-Diisopropyltryptamine (also known as Diisopropyltryptamine and DiPT) is a lesser-known psychedelic substance of the tryptamine class. It is a structural analog of DMT and related to various psychedelic tryptamines such as 4-HO-DiPT, 5-MeO-DiPT, and MiPT. The first human trials of DiPT were undertaken in 1975 by Alexander Shulgin, who would co-author and publish a paper detailing its synthesis and human psychopharmacology in 1981.

DiPT trip This was my first time trying any sort of psychedelic; well, that in of itself is a lie. I had done what I estimated to be under 1g of psilocybin shrooms more than a year ago, where the mushroom was brewed into a tea which may have affected the potency.
Here's a copy of my first ever trip report, written back in October last year and erroneously posted in the DIPT thead in the Archive rather than here, where it belongs. It is so far my one and only formal trip report. I would like to share my first test drive in the wonderful world of dipt.
The following is based on relatively scant trip notes (I have notes for most of it, but they are brief), and my rather less scant memory of the experience. The Methylone no more modulated the experience than the cups of tea (perhaps less so, who knows?) so I deal with that briefly at the end of this report, and do not...
A little backstory. Yesterday sucked bad. My dads business (also my job) got the axe by Chrysler. We were told we had until 5 PM to get our stuff out of the building. So we were tearing the place apart all day. Dad also sprained his knee and was hospitalized. He can barely walk now.
